Title | Copy letter from Alfred Bray Kempe, to David Gill, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 20 March 1907 |
Description | Sir Archibald Geikie handed Gill's letter asking for £350 out of the Government Grant Fund to meet urgent claims to go towards the £2000 which he is trying to raise for the purpose of extending the work of measuring the Great African Geodetic Arc, which is now in progress. Kempe is prepared to put forward the claim, and ask Council to vote for the sum at their next meeting, and no doubt the President and other Officers will support the request. |
