Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Arthur Schuster, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 22 March 1907 |
Description | Sending a letter addressed to the President and which seems to demand an answer. Before sending it to the President, asks what sort of reply he thinks could be sent, bearing in mind the resolution passed at the last Council on this subject, and contained in the letter to Vienna.
Has just received Schuster's letter about Crawley's paper. Although concurrence with the Chairman and Secretary is necessary in taking any final steps regarding publication, Harrison thinks he can act on 'interlocutory proceedings' on behalf of Joseph Larmor to write to the communicator Professor Forbes and point out the paper's defects of form in order to save time.
Council recently resolved that the vote for the Royal Society was to be delivered by himself, and the Vienna academy has been informed. Unless he strongly objects, it is too late too change this. |
