TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Cresswell Shearer, Stazione Zoologica, Naples
Date14 May 1907
DescriptionHarrison informs Shearer, in response to his enquiry, that sample plates were sent to him some time ago, but he sends another with this letter. He expresses regret concerning the 3 month delay until the plates are complete, noting it as undesirable and problematic in terms of publication. Temporary plate numbers will be necessary as final numbers cannot be fixed so far in advance, with alteration to wait until the plates are corrected and ready to print; at which stage the paper can be placed, allowing pages and plates to be numbered. Meanwhile, the letterpress proofs must wait for the plates, so they may be corrected and returned, with nothing to be done until the plates are also advanced.
