| Description | Harrison informs Watson that his paper with Marie Stopes, 'On the present distribution and origin of the calcareous concretions in coal seams, known as 'Coal Balls'', has been considered by two sectional committees who have recommended its publication in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, providing they omit the section comparing English with Scottish and foreign coal measures, and that in view of the absence of Stopes, that the paper be edited by Watson in consultation with Professor Weiss, with particular attention to be paid to the referees' criticisms regarding style and points regarding factual errors.
He asks if Watson agrees to the conditions outlined, and states that he will send the manuscript if he receives an affirmative response from Watson. A copy of the referees' criticisms will shortly be sent to him. |
