DescriptionIn sending the enclosed letter from Sir Archibald Geikie handing Power the Buchanan Medal, he also forwards a cheque for £17, 11 shillings and nine pence, which is the accumulated balance of the income of the Fund for the past five years. He asks that Power return the enclosed receipt.

They were sorry not to see him at the Royal Society [Anniversary] dinner on Saturday, and particularly for the cause of his absence. Harrison sends his own congratulations and hopes for Power's speedy recovery.
