TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr C K Hitchcock, Bootham Park, York
Date21 February 1908
DescriptionIn reply to Hitchcock's letter of 13 February, a considerable amount of trouble has been taken in searching the records for the information Hitchcock desires. One of the dates mentioned in Hitchcock's letter was inaccurate and he omitted to give the name of the institution with which Dr Hunter was connected. Alexander Hunter MD was elected a Fellow [of the Royal Society] on 2 February 1775. Harrison adds some information found in the Dictionary of National Biography.
Harrison would call to attention the fact that the time of the staff here is fully occupied with the regular official work of the Society. The information Hitckcock asked for was of a personal nature and of minor importance and therefore his enquiry had to stand aside until it could be conveniently attended to.
