TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date19 June 1908
DescriptionGeikie saw the Hydrographer yesterday, and he said there would be no objection on the part of the Admiralty to the Christchurch magnetic work being done at Kew, a letter to the same effect has also come this morning. Geikie also saw Dr Richard Tetley Glazebrook yesterday, and he was good enough to promise to have the Christchurch work pushed on, so Geikie hopes that Chree will put it in train as early as he can, and have the tables in less than a month. Quite understands that it is only the hourly readings that he is to finish for the volume now ready.
