TitleCopy letter from [Archibald Geikie], to Messrs Oliver and Boyd, Edinburgh
Date15 October 1908
DescriptionOn a considerable number of the plates which consist of more than one piece of paper, the joining has been so carelessly made as to be serious misfits. Hopes this is exceptional to the copy examined, but [Geikie] fears it will be a general flaw. Requests that that examine a significant number of copies of the plates to be able to judge whether inaccuracies are general. Mr Swan, who is responsible for the mistakes, has been called in, and considerations will be made as to what can be done. Sending a list of presentation copies, and other documents to include in their despatch.
