TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date2 January 1891
DescriptionA quite short paper by Edward Matthey communicated by Sir Gabriel Stokes has come in and Rix is adding this to the list of papers to be read next Thursday and shall advertise it, unless he hears from Foster to the contrary, first thing Monday morning. A long paper by Professor [Joseph John] Thomson which Rix thinks Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] ought to see arrived this morning. Dr Klein has also just brought a paper by [John Berry] Haycraft on the structure of striped muscle, which Rix is proceeding with the printing of and it can be read next Thursday if Foster wishes. Rix encloses his corrections for the 'History of the Statutes' and asks them to be returned or embodied in Foster's press copy if approved.
