TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr White
Date16 July 1890
DescriptionWhite will perhaps be surprised to hear that after interviewing one or two candidates the Officers have this morning chosen a lady for the post rendered vacant by the death of Mr Holt. The Officers are anxious that the Catalogue work should be put in hand before Rix leaves for Norway. In consequence Rix wishes to ask a favour of White; that he return from his holiday a week earlier in order to give Miss Chambers a thorough training in the work, especially the preparation of copy, and Rix wonders where White would stand on this.
