Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix to Professor Michael Foster |
Date | 18 November 1890 |
Description | Sherbourne is willing and considers himself competent to undertake both the geology and zoology. Mr Rendle has consulted Professor Vines[?] and asks for four shillings an hour. Rix supposes Rendle and Sherborne between them can do the whole of the biological side. When Rix has seen the Treasurer [John Evans] he shall propose the same terms to Sherborne. Rix wonders if they ought to have someone for the mathematical and physical papers. Rix encloses a list [not attached] on which all the crosses from various members of Committee have been collected including those suggested in Committee. Before beginning work Rix thinks Foster should check this. The Treasurer today left for Foster an electrotype of a large medallion of Charles Darwin. Rix proposes Christmas week from 24 to 31 December. |
