TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to [David] Bruce
Date20 May 1909
Description'Dear Dr Bruce,
In reply to your letter of yesterday let me say that no soon as you intimate formally to this office that you are ready to receive the cheque for the £100 recently granted to you it will be sent.
I am afraid that there is no possibility of incuring the grant to you of £10 from the Government Grant Fund. The call was considered quite lately by the Committee and their recommendation received the approval of the Council. The cannot now be referred.
I am sorry that you should be so straitened in your writing efforts.'
