Date24 May 1909
Description'Dear Sir,
I beg to acknowledge receipt of the corrected proof of your join paper, with short summary.
As regards the unnumbered tracing which we returned and which you desire to place over the large diagram, I regret to have to inform you that it is not proposed to reproduce this, on account of the expense and the inconvenience, the large diagram being twice folded on itself.
Possible the information contained in the tracing might be introduced on the diagram itself by a few addition letters, or in some other way conveyed to the reader; if this is not feasible, it must I fear be omitted.'
