I am directed by the Scientific Relief Committee of the Royal Society to ask if you can quote me for their information the cost of an annuity on the following alternative conditions:-
(1) An annuity on the life of a married woman aged 56, payable immediately.
(2) The same, payable on the death of her husband now aged 73.'
