Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 31st ultimo, I have to say that you may safely anticipate the permission of the Council to photograph the document by James Sutherland on the "Engraving of Coins, ect", for use in connection with your Life of James Sutherland for the History of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. You will no doubt communicate direct with Mr T P Collins, with a view to his arranging for the photograph to be taken.'
