TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir Oliver [Joseph] Lodge FRS
Date14 June 1909
Description'Dear Sir Oliver Lodge, In reply to your letter of the 12th instant, it is not the custom of the Royal Society to lend the original blocks illustrating paper sin the 'Proceedings' of the Royal Society]; but it is a very usual practice with is to authorize our printers, Messrs Harrison and Sons, to prepare electros from the original blocks and to supply these electros to the Editor of a Journal, the cost of preparing the electros, which is usually a small amount only, being in this case borne by the Editor requiring the electros. If this course will meet Dr Eichhron's purpose, I will instruct our printers to prepare electros of the illustrations to your paper, upon hearing from either you or Dr Eichhorn that this is desired.'
