Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of March 27th on the subject of the bequest made by the late Dr George Gore to the Royal Society and the Royal Institution, I now have to inform you that, after an inspection of the clauses of Dr Gore's will relating to the bequest, the President and Council have agreed to accept the Trust thereby imposed upon the Royal Society.
The Council decided to take no action with regard to the erection of a headstone over the late Dr Gore's grave.'
