Date13 July 1909
DescriptionSir,
With reference to the Bristol Corporation Stock held by the Royal Society, I shall be greatly obliged if you will direct that the interest warrants payable on the Stock may be made out to the order of the Treasurer of the Royal Society and not to the President. The Treasurer is the officer appointed by Statute to received all sums of money payable to the Society and it will save some considerable inconvenience if the interest due from time to time upon the Stock standing in the name of the President, Council and Fellows of the Society is made payable to the Treasurer.'
