TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A [Arthur] E [Everett] Shipley FRS
Date27 July 1909
Description'Dear Sir,
The Botany Committee at their meeting last week had under consideration the paper by Mr G H Drew, communicated by you for the Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society].
The Committee could not see their way to recommend the paper for publication in the Philosophical Transactions, but were willing to recommend it for the Proceedings [of the Royal Society], subject to modifications being made in accordance with the suggestions of the referee, and the abbreviation of the latter part of the text. The Committee were of opinion that the bibliography should be reduced to the two entries - Miquel and Oltmanns, and that these might appear as footnotes. On hearing from you that the author is willing to adopt the modifications referred to I will send the paper to him.'
