Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Col S C N Grant, CMG, Southampton |
Date | 2 April 1909 |
Description | 'Dear Sir, In reply to your letter of yesterday, we certainly have a stock of copies of the Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society] since 1887, but they are on sale. I should have to submit a special application to the Council for their presentation, and a case would have to be made out for the inability of the applicant to purchase them. Can you not persuade the Stationery Office to fill up the lacunae by purchase? It might help in a solution of the question if you could let me know how the set up to 1887 came into the possession of your Department.' |
