TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor John Newport Langley, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date16 November 1909
DescriptionHarrison is sorry that his previous explanation regarding Osborne's paper was not adequate [NLB/41/252]. Explains that there is a rigid routine in place at the office. During the vacation when the higher powers are on holiday, and the members of staff too, things go slower than usual. Explains that the rules governing 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' mean that the numbers shall be kept as closely to a uniform number of sheets, and nearly as possible in the order that they are received.
