TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to G [George] Beilby FRS
Date6 April 1910
Description'Dear Mr Reilby,
The Council of the Royal Society instructed me not long ago to sell two platinum bars which we have had for a long time. The were originally standard metres but have become useless, and after a careful consideration of the matter by the Board of Trade Standards Department and the National Physical Laboratory, it have been settled that they had better we sold. Harrison, at my request, communicated with Johnson, Matthey & Co, as to a price, and the result is a letter of which the enclosed is a copy.'
