TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor to Mrs [Hertha] Ayrton
Date12 April 1910
Description'Dear Mrs Ayrton,
I have seen you paper. The diagrams will have to be rigorously reduced in size, so as often to print two abreast in order to be in keeping with our usual standard of illustration. We must put on a new date "received after revision April 1910" or else the RS [Royal Society] will lose all character for despatch of business.
The theory is that all papers be communicated by a Fellow for consideration; but that will not be a difficulty in your case.
I gather from a paper in this month's Phil. Mag. that A Konig has a theory of the formation of dust ripples in organ pipes, which I suppose you ought to look at.'
