Description'Dear Sir,
Your letter of April 23 was read to the President and Council of the Royal Society at their meeting last week when they heard with gratification that you are able to accept the invitation of the Society to deliver the Croonian Lecture this year.
The President and Council are making arrangements to reserve the meeting of May 26 for the delivery of the Lecture, and will be obliged by your informing them at your early convenience of the precise title by which you would wish your Lecture to be announced.'
