DescriptionHarrison received Geikie's postcard of the 14th yesterday morning, having previously had Geikie's letter of the 13th, both of which arrived too late to enable Harrison to reply before Geikie went to Rome
Harrison encloses the invitation for the funeral [of King Edward VII]. Last night ten cards came for the funeral service at St Paul's, and as immediate action was necessary Harrison have set apart four for the Principal Officer and has sent telegrams to the following:- Sir James Stirling, Prof [Horace] Lamb, Prof E [Edward] B [Bagnell] Poulton, Sir Andrew Noble (Vice Presidents). Dr Gaskell and Lord Rayleigh.
