TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Mrs Manlove, 18a Barmought Road, Wandsworth Common, SW
Date11 June 1910
DescriptionMrs Manlove's correspondence with Miss Bremer od the Cataloguing Department relating to Mrs Manlove's daughter's health and her condition has been placed in Harrison's hands. Mrs Manlove's statement, quoting an opinion of a medical man, that the room in which her daughter has worked [at the Royal Society] has undermined her health, is a serious one to make where a number of assistants are at work under similar conditions.
Harrison needs the following information to make enquiries:-
(1) the nature of the evidence upon which the medical man referred to form the opinion quoted; (2) if that evidence onsisted exclusively of a statement made by Mrs Manlone's daughter and the nature of that statement; (3) the name and position of the medical man giving the opinion quoted.

Harrison finds that Mrs Manlove's daughter was not working continuously in one room, and the room she spent time in has been used for many years by people with no ill health effects. In view of the severity of the statement an investigation will be made.
