Description'Dear Sir,
I brought your letter of the 2nd March before the authorities and I have the pleasure to inform you that I have been authorized to allow you to transcribe the 37 letters from Cotton Mather and the letter from Douglas to Stuart in our Manuscript letter books. If you will be good enough to give me notice when your transcriber desires to come and work at these manuscripts they shall be got out in readiness.
The place will be closed for the Easter recess from Wednesday evening next until the end of Easter week.'
