My authority for printing MS [manuscript] for use as above does not extend to such summaries as exceed some 300 words in length -- the length specified in the circular which is sent out to authors. We make you MS to contain 430 words.'
I should therefore be very glad if you could see your way to abridge it so as to bring it within the limits assigned by Council.
I enclose your MS and a copy of the circular above mentioned.'
