TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor J [John] H [Henry] Poynting FRS
Date28 June 1910
Description'Dear Professor Poynting,
At a meeting of the Committee of Papers held on Thursday last, the paper by Mr S B McLauren on the partition of Energy between Aether and Matter, and the Constitution of the Electron, which was communicated by you to the Society in February last, was taken into consideration: and, acting on the recommendation of the Mathematics Committee, it was decided that the paper be not accepted for publication.
As the paper has not been formally read at a meeting of the Society it is open to you to withdraw upon the understanding, expressed in writing, that the paper is to be regarded as not having been communicated to the Society at all. I shall be glad to hear from you whether you desire to adopt this course.'
