Description'Dear Madam,
Professor Macallum informs me that he has now seen you with reference to your paper on the Origin of the hydrochloric acid in the gastric tubles, and that you are willing to carry out, as far as possible, the recommendations with regard to condensation. I therefore send you your manuscript for the abridgment and amendment.
Professor Macallum has arranged with me about the illustrations, so I am not returning them to you.'
