TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, HM Office of Works
Date29 September 1910
DescriptionAdverting to Mr Wordley's letter of July 29 relating to charges in connection with the installation of the new boiler in this building [Burlington House]. A cheque for the original requisition amount of £161.6.11 was paid. The supplementary charges amount to £20.10.3 in connection with imperfections to the apparatus, some of which arose entirely out of the failure under test of use. The Treasurer desires Harrison to suggest that it is hardly reasonable in the circumstances for the Royal Society to defray the cost of these extra expenses.
