TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr S [Sidney] F [Frederic] Harmer FRS
Date4 October 1910
Description'Dear Dr Harmer,
I have looked everywhere for the final proof of the obituary notice of Professor Bridge without any success for far. The Assistant Librarian, who take charge of there proofs, is away on holiday and he may be able to put his hand on it when he comes back.
Anyhow it seems pretty clear that a most inexcusable alteration has been made by someone in the proof, either by the printers' reader or here. I sincerely trust it was not here. If it had come under my eye I should certainly have noticed as I should have thought everyone knew of the office of Registrary of the University. If it was the printers' read it was quite unwarrantable. I will do my best to trace the source of the mistake. I propose to note it as among Errata in the volume when it is bound up.'
