TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Manager, The British Vacuum, Cleaner Co, Ltd, Parson's Green Lane, SW
Date14 October 1910
Description'Gentlemen,
In sending enclosed cheque in settlement of your account as estimated, I have to express great dis-satisfaction with the way in which the worl of carpet cleaning was carried out this year, so far as carpets which were sent out of the house are concerned. Many of these came back so full of dust as to suggest that they had not been cleaned at all. Some were returned to you to be done again. Others which had been laid have been found full of dust, and have had to be cleaned here as far as was possible with our own pneumatic cleaner.
I have had no complaints as regards the carpets cleaned in situ by your vacuum cleaner.'
