TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A Bruce Joy
Date8 May 1911
DescriptionJoy's letter and acts have followed one another so rapidly that Harrison has not been able to write in time to save him as much trouble as Harrison fears Joy has taken in connection with his Statue of Lord Kelvin.
Harrison has been reassured by Joseph Larmor that there is no question of introducing the statue at the Soiree on the 10th of May but that there is hope that the bronze may be ready by June 14, the date of the principal Soiree.
It is however really quite impractical to dis-oragnise the arrangements already made for the Soiree next Wednesday at such short notice by introducing the Statue, The President tells Harrison that he made this clear to Joy when he called upon him yesterday.
