Description'Joule Studentship.
Referring to your letter of September 30, the value of the Joule Studentship is £100. The sum is usually paid in two instalments of fifty pounds each; but in view of your request, it is proposed to pay the mount in four instalments of £25 each. There is no fixed rule as to the mode in which the studentship is paid.
I enclose a copy of the regulation for administering the Joule Fund.' [no enclosure]
