Date1 February 1912
DescriptionGeikie is senidng Hart the first proofs of Chapter I of the Record of the Royal Society which he would like to revise. Tehy have been set up with remarkable accuracy, Geikie has found however that some part which he had taken trustfully from the last edition are full of errors & have necessitated a good many corrections. Geikie has decided ti omit the cut on p22, this will involve the addition to some 23 lines. Geikie has endeavoured to supply this material by addition some addition particulars on p19 and taking in the footnte on pp22-23 into the Capser type of text. Geikie hops that these changes will as nearly as may be [?] each other, so as to avaoid any occuring of the subsequent pages.
