TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Messrs Robarts Lubbock & Co
Date9 February 1912
Description'In reply to your letter of the 7th with reference to the certification of the Minute of Council recording the sealing of a transfer of GWR stock, I think you should inform the Company that on former occasions such copies of minutes have been certified not by the President but by myself, and that this new demand, if persisted in, will give rise to inconvenience and delay in corresponding with the President who lives in the country. The transfer is already attested by the President by his signature under the seal, appended at the time of sealing in Council. Perhaps if the Company would suggest some form of words to be subscribed to by the President on the document sealed, at the time of sealing, having regards to the fact that the seal of the Society can by Statute be affixed only at a meeting of Council, all this trouble about a copy of the minute recording the act of sealing might be avoided in future.'
