| Description | The attention of the President and Council of the Royal Society has been directed to the urgent scientific desirability of stalling self-recording magnetic instruments at suitable stations in South Africa in connection with the International Committees on Seismology regarding the great need of providing stations in the Southern Hemisphere to take part in the observations of tidal disturbances.
Larmor is instructed to transmit to the Royal Society of South Africa, for their information, the Strong opinion of the Royal Society that the British dominions in the Southern Hemisphere should take a share in this magnetic international work.
Larmor transcribes the resolution adopted by the President and Council regarding this matter. |
