TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to the Secretary, HM Office of Works
Date19 April 1912
Description'For some time past the Society has suffered considerable inconvenience from inadequate lavatory accommodation, and after some conversations with the Clerk of the Works for this district he has submitted a scheme for alterations which would meet the requirements of the Society, and which he estimates to cost approximately £85.
If His Majesty's Commissioners are prepared to consider this structural work of such a nature as to be included in their Vote the Society will be greatly obliged by having it carried out; but if not, the Society would be prepared to bear the expense if HM Office of Works would undertake to execute the work, and to put is in hand with as little delay as possible, in order to ensure its completion before the end of June. This condition is of essential importance in view of the large number of people who are expected here in July in connection with the Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Society.'
