TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Messrs Hampton & Sons
Date17 May 1912
Description'Adverting to recent correspondence the authorities here have come to the conclusion that a temporary covering of the Library floor would be more satisfactory than staining and polishing for the occasion of the Society's celebrations in July; and I am to ask whether you could supply a red drugget on hire for at least three days, to cover the whole floor, and if so, what your charge would be. You already have the measurement of the Library so that you will be able to form an idea of the size. The carpet would not of course extend into the bays, the oak floors of which should be cleaned and polished as under the original plan.'
