DescriptionThe tickets to the garden parties to be given on the occasion of the Royal Society's 250th anniversary celebrations next month are not given by the Society, but his name and that of Mrs Dill have been submitted to the Lord Chamberlain and the Duke of Northumberland. In the meantime the President begs his acceptance of the enclosed ticket for the soiree on 17 July. Tickets for the service in Westminster Abbey on 15 July are not yet ready.
