TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Postmaster, Western District Post Office
Date23 May 1912
DescriptionThe first week of July will see an estimated 250 delegates from all parts of the world to visit the Royal Society as part of the 250th Anniversary. President and Council think it would be a great convenience to these visitors, and possibly facilitate the operations of the Post Office, if a temporary post office were established within the courtyard of Burlington House. The Geological Society have kindly offered their meeting room, which as a door onto the courtyard. Harrison requests a sufficient staff of clerks for this purpose.
