TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Duchess of Northumberland
Date13 July 1912
DescriptionThe nearest guide to the number of guests from the Royal Society who may be expected to attend her garden party will be the number of those who have already expressed their desire to attend. This amounts to 158 delegates with 91 ladies, and of the Fellows 238 with 106 ladies. This totals 593 individuals. No answers to the invitations are being received at Burlington House, and it would probably be unsafe to trust to answers received as an indication of the numbers expected, but it is presumed that those who have asked for an invitation will avail themselves of it.
