TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Manager, Carpet Department, A & N Auxiliary Stores
Date29 October 1912
DescriptionIs much obliged for the patterns of Axminster and other carpets that they sent to try for the Library. On seeing them in position, Harrison does not think any of them will suit. The material is considered too thick to go over the existing Turkey carpet in the ante-room and the patterns inappropriate to the linoleum which they have laid. Asks to see some samples of wide stair carpet in some plain colours or with very inconspicuous, if any pattern upon it and of a tone that would suit the light colours of the linoleoum.
