Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A [Alfred] J [John] Jukes-Brown FRS |
Date | 4 December 1912 |
Description | 'By the same post which brought your letter of yesterday, the Post Office have sent back the enclosed letter which was addressed and posted to you last Friday. It came back without any envelope, and I can only conclude that it is one of those which has suffered at the hands of the suffragette people, who have been destroying the contents of post boxes here. I am very sorry you should have been kept so long without a communication, but this is evidently an accident over which we had no control.' |
