TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to T E Scott, 12 Woodstock Road, Poplar
Date4 December 1912
Description'In answer to your enquiry concerning Joseph Miller, I find he was elected FRS in 1843 and died in 1860, or end of 1859. His address when elected was Monastery Cottage, East India Road. Later he moved to Verulam House, Maida Vale, and afterwards was at other addresses in town and country. I don't think that he made any scientific communications to this Society and I do not think we here can afford you any further information about him. You might however get some particulars from the Institution of Civil Engineers. His name is not in the Dictionary of National Biography and I am afraid I cannot refer you to any book of reference that would assist you.'
