DescriptionThe President and Council of the Royal Society at their last meeting had their attention called to the fact that the full term of office as Vice Chairman of the General Board and Executive Committee of the National Physical Laboratory has been served by Lord Rayleigh. The Council passed a resolution to say that it is highly desirable that Lord Rayleigh should continue for the present to as at Vice Chairman of the General Board and Executive Committee.
Schuster hopes that HM Treasury will sanction this reappointment.
