TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Signor Filippo de Filippi, Via Urbana 167, Rome
Date24 December 1912
Description'I have to acknowledge your letter of the 20th inst, received this morning. Your request for assistance from the Royal Society towards your projected expedition to the Karakoram was mentioned at the last meeting of Council this month, and I think I am not going too far in saying that it was listened to very sympathetically; but as the Council was given to understand that the matter was not one of especial urgency, and as on that occasion it had a great deal of business to get through in a limited time, a final decision was ferred to the next meeting, which will take place on the 23rd of January. I can only hope that this postponement will not involve any serious hindrance to your plans.'
