| Description | Harrison forgot that Schuster was not on the Council when the matter of the Australian Observatories cam up and directs him to the preliminaries in the letter he sent in the Minutes of November 7, No.9, page 311.
Harrison is in a little difficulty about the Cuthbertson paper; after correspodence bewteen Mr Porter and Schuster the instruction Harrison received was that the matter must be kept for the Committee. No Porter has written saying that he expected to have the paper back to make the desired alteration. Harrison asks whether he is to return the paper or not.
With regard to the meeting of the Physics Committee, Harrison has arrange with Professor Hill's meeting of the Methematics Committee for Friday 24th at 3 o'clock. Hill was at the Royal Society the day before discussion the Standing Orders and pointed out that Standing Order 40 gives the same powers to Secretaries and Chairmen with regard to short Philosophical Transactions papers. |
