TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, signed by Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr R [Richard] T [Tetley] Glazebrook FRS
Date18th November 1912
Description'The Council of the Royal Society took into consideration on November 7th the proposal of the Executive Committee of the National Physical Laboratory that the Government should be approached by the Royal Society with the object of obtaining a subsidy for an experimental investigation on Optical Glass,
In view of your intimation that wider questions concerning the finance of the Laboratory would soon be ripe for consideration with the Treasury, the Council came to a decision that it would not be expedient in the interest of the Laboratory to press a special application for funds in the meantime.'
